Aebleskiver Days

Tyler, a town about 20 minutes northish of us, each year celebrates Aebleskiver Days, which is of Danish heritage. So we decided to go see what it was all about. There is actually a type of food called an Aebleskiver, they are about the size of a tennis ball and pretty much taste like a pancake. We weren't thinking and didn't get a picture of them. Here is a link to learn more about the Aebleskiver: www.aebleskiver.com
Here is the old Danish school. Upstairs are little dormitory rooms, people were actually staying in them during Aebleskiver Days so then we weren't able to see what those looked like.
This is what one of the plates of food they were serving looked like!

Not really a whole lot here for a little boy to eat. But I decided to try a few things anyway.

Hmm what's this white thing with red skin (radish) taste like?

Taking a bit of a cucumber.

Aunt Brenda & cousin Mallory met us in Tyler, here it was time for a pony ride.

If we remember right my pony was named "Alfalfa". I could even hold on with only one hand!

Just going for a ride. Mom's doing all the work this time keeping me on as both hands are in the air. Here it looks like I'm having a little more fun. I stayed on the for the whole ride while Mallory (in back) jumped off before they came to a stop.
